View of Patagonia!

Amazing and beautiful day!  We woke up at 8 AM and set off on a hike outside of the National Park.  If we had just done the National Park it would have been a forced auto tour but as the adventurers that we are, we decided to hike instead!  The trail was pretty much vertical and it had rained the night before so there was a lot of slipping and sliding, shoes getting lost in the mud, and careful stream crossings.  After about an hour we reached the top where the lagoon was.  There was snow on the ground and the lagoon water was ice cold.   See the view from the lagoon below!  It was magical to see such vibrant greenery surrounded by snow.  We were guided by a man named Javier who is very experienced with the land and trails that sometimes didn’t look like real trails.  He seemed like he would be a great resource to gain an Ushuaian perspective on tourism to Antarctica.
